# Referral Program

<h3 align="center">Overview</h3>

The Referral Program aligns user growth with participation. Users who introduce new participants earn a share of the activity generated by their network, while referred users receive an immediate enhancement to their rewards.

Users with an audience or community can generate ongoing reward streams as their referrals engage with Horizon.

Total issuance remains fixed. Referral incentives are redistributed from existing reward allocations.

Rewards activate only once genuine protocol activity is recorded.

Sal earns 1,000 base rewards.\
Sal receives 1,100 rewards.\
Li receives 100 rewards.

Total emissions remain unchanged. Rewards are reallocated within the existing distribution stream.

***

<h3 align="center">Safeguards</h3>

Referral rewards activate only after the referred user maintains a minimum portfolio balance of $1,000.

Self-referrals are prohibited.\
Coordinated multi-account behaviour is disqualified.\
Only genuine lending, borrowing, or liquidity participation generates rewards.

The protocol monitors referral activity and may revoke rewards in cases of abuse.

***

<h3 align="center">Why It Matters</h3>

The Referral Program supports organic growth through aligned incentives. Participants who expand the network are compensated proportionally to the activity they introduce.
